Opportunity Overview
  • Develop Power distribution solution and safety circuitry for building systems (AC medium voltage to DC lower voltage)
  • Planning and executing the hardware development portion of multiple concurrent instrument projects, from concept through production release
  • Communicating progress at appropriate levels of abstraction
  • Participating in cross-functional teams to develop architectures, systems design, and specifications for new products
  • Customer facing engagement with customers during projects ensuring alignment
  • Ensuring that products are meeting requirements and are delivered on schedule
  • Mentoring other engineers
  • Working with other engineers on design and purchasing materials.
  • Working with technicians and field engineers to assist system startup.
  • Designing and reviewing SOLIDWORKS electrical drawings
  • Conducting market research and product evaluations when selecting components
  • Developing and executing based on project budgets and timeline
  • Work with the safety team to review safety designs.
  • Work with Safety team on system certifications before releasing it to production
  • Writing reports and presenting findings
  • Achieving business results and company goals
  • Working with external suppliers to meet schedule
  • Designing Cable Harnesses for the system to work as intended
  • Select appropriate hardware to meet safety and system requirements

  • Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering with at least 3+ years of experience in system design or M.S and 1+ years. Experience in developing System manufacturing and testing equipment.
  • Takes initiative, self-motivated, and drives to design, engineer, analyze and test medium complexity systems, subsystems, and parts.
  • Communication skills for effective influence with customers, internal teammates, and suppliers worldwide
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of electrical codes (Semi S2 and S8, NFPA, NEC)
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous Automation experience.
  • Understand network, subnets and IP assignment.


Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $86,700 to $138,700. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
