Electrical Department Manager to lead our Electrical Engineering team in the London/Kitchener region. This is not just a management role - it's a chance to

You'll oversee innovative designs across a wide spectrum of sectors, including

- Lead and inspire - Provide vision, mentorship, and empowerment to a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, ensuring both team success and individual growth.
- Drive national and global collaboration - Engage with AECOM's network of offices and specialists across Canada and internationally, creating opportunities to work on transformative, large-scale projects.
- Deliver technical excellence - Act as a Senior Engineer on projects, guiding design strategies and ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation.
- Shape major projects - Oversee electrical systems for cutting-edge buildings and infrastructure, tackling complex challenges with creativity and rigor.
- Grow the business - Contribute to proposals, strengthen client relationships, and open new opportunities across local, national, and global markets.
- Champion sustainability and innovation - Stay ahead of codes, technologies, and design practices, embedding future-ready and sustainable solutions in every project.
- Develop the next generation - Coach and support junior staff, fostering professional growth and building the leadership pipeline of tomorrow.
QualificationsMinimum Responsibilities:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 10 years of hands-on experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Ontario.
Preferred Requirements: - 15+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in consulting or design-build firms.
- Previous experience managing an Electrical Engineering Department or leading a technical team.
- Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
- Expertise in power systems design (MV and LV).
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD in BIM design environments
- Track record of solving complex engineering problems with innovative approaches.
- Experience across multiple markets, including DoD, Healthcare, Labs, and Commercial/Mixed-Use.
- Commitment to sustainable design practices and energy-efficient solutions.
- Success working on high-profile, architecturally significant projects.
