Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Lead Electrical Reliability for a Steel Mill$115K-$130K + Bonus + Relocation Assistance within the U.S. | Leadership Role - Day Shift
At Gerdau, you'll have the opportunity to lead a skilled electrical maintenance team, influence reliability strategy, and drive continuous improvement across critical production systems. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll partner directly with plant leadership and have the support, resources, and technology needed to improve equipment performance and develop your team.

What You'll Do

As the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for electrical maintenance and reliability across plant systems. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance leadership to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and create a safe, high-performing work environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead and develop electrical maintenance personnel
  • Improve equipment reliability through predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical and mechanical equipment issues
  • Drive safety, environmental, quality, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Partner with operations to minimize downtime and maximize plant performance
  • Coach and develop employees through training, mentoring, and hands-on leadership
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, and root cause failure analysis
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement action plans to achieve business objectives
  • Manage routine maintenance activities, work execution, and reliability improvements
  • Participate in outage planning, major repairs, and capital improvement projects


What We're Looking For

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field OR HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of job-related work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, steel, metals, mining, pulp and paper, chemical processing, power generation, or related heavy industry
  • Experience leading electrical maintenance or reliability teams
  • Knowledge of predictive, preventive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, controls, and power distribution equipment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills
  • Ability to build relationships across maintenance, operations, and engineering teams


Preferred
  • Experience with overhead cranes, utilities, mobile equipment, substations, switchyards, HVAC systems, or industrial environmental systems
  • Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms
  • Experience in steel manufacturing or other heavy industrial environments
