Salary Range: $78,080 - $130,140
Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)
YOUR ROLEReporting to the Planning Superintendent, the Electrical & Instrumentation Planner will strive to improve maintenance productivity through effective planning and scheduling of activities and resources, this position will focus on continuous improvement to design and implement excellent planning and scheduling practices for preventative, predictive, routine, and planned outage maintenance work. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with Electrical and Instrumentation expertise who is looking to gain valuable experience in planning and scheduling for multi-trade crews within a multi-trade work environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES- Planning work orders;
- Identifying safety and environmental requirements;
- Establishing work methods;
- Identifying resource requirements;
- Estimating costs of jobs;
- Checking availability of workforce;
- Materials refurbishment planning;
- Occasional relief for E/I supervisors.
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES- Self-directed and works with minimal supervision;
- Ability to manage time and multi-task to accomplish a variety of assignments with conflicting priorities and deadlines;
- A team player who can maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including trades, peers, superiors, vendors, etc.;
- Confident communicator at all levels of organization including listening, writing and presenting;
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills;
- Proven organizational skills ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;
- Detail oriented;
- Self-motivated, open-minded and results oriented;
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS- Red Seal Electrical or Instrumentation Mechanic certification, dual ticketed preferred;
- Strong Electrical and Instrumentation background, preference will be given to candidates with electrical experience;
- Demonstrated leadership abilities along with excellent communication skills;
- Working knowledge of budget and accountability processes;
- Committed to best practices in health, safety and environmental management;
- Proficient with computers including experience in working with a computerized maintenance system (i.e., SAP).
