Job DescriptionYou will be the Electrical Harness Engineer for the Aeronautics Electrical Engineering Team which is responsible for delivering advanced electrical harness solutions that power cutting-edge aeronautics platforms.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Electrical Harness Engineer you will be responsible for shaping the electrical architecture that enables mission-critical aircraft systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Produce detailed electrical wiring schematic drawings and develop complex power distribution systems.
- Partner with subsystem engineers to define electrical loads, wiring requirements, and ensure seamless integration.
- Manage supplier relationships, author statements of work, and coordinate system check-outs.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, resolve build-up issues, and guarantee flawless execution.

Further Information About This OpportunityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience creating electrical schematics or wiring diagrams.
• Experience with Capital Logic, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent Electronic Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
• Experience performing Root Cause/Corrective Action troubleshooting
• Hands on engineering experience with aircraft hardware or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Active Secret/Top Secret Clearance per business requirements
Desired skills• Electrical Harness Design and Installation Experience HIGHLY DESIRED
• Experience working on a small team covering all aspects of system design from concept through testing
• Engineering experience working power systems or performed electrical load analysis.
• Knowledge of industry electrical wire harness assembly fabrication and installation methods and processes.
• Experience with Teamcenter, ENOVIA or equivalent PLM software.
• Active Secret/Top Secret Clearance
• 2 years of professional experience; or no experience with a related Masters degree
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
