Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical codes for equipment installations.
  • Install, examine, and repair various electrical wiring and components.
  • Test electrical equipment for functionality and safety.
  • Maintain and repair critical electrical gear like switchgear and transformers.
  • Troubleshoot and manage electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and manage records accurately.
  • May be involved in calibration and maintenance of industrial instrumentation.

POSITION SUMMARY

Strike's Electrical Foremen possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems. Preference will be given to those who have experience in the energy sector, are willing to work out of town, and are safety focused.

POSITION DETAILS
  • Candidates must be willing to travel and work fluctuating shift schedules as the work demands
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a valid Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certificate
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Must have previous industrial experience

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layouts of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
  • Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
