Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

The Construction Superintendent will manage, and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination and work in conjunction with the Project Manager leading the project team. They provide technical management and project leadership on construction projects at the field level. Responsibilities include; directing the day-to-day activities onsite; planning crew activities in the short and long turn; resolving field construction issues; field level client relations; maintaining Strike's high standard of safety and quality; managing small-to medium-sized projects or directing one portion of a major project and overseeing proper protocols in the field.

POSITION DETAILS
  • This is an onsite position. Successful candidates must either reside in High Level or be willing to relocate.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the province, as required, to support ongoing projects.
  • Monday to Friday work schedule
  • 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.s
  • Camp or LOA supplied
  • Will accept employee or ISP/DSP candidates

  • Manage the crews, sub-contractors and all other resources to complete the job

  • Actively participate in the construction planning and scheduling
  • Assist in bid for new jobs as required
  • Lead the overall implementation to ensure that the project is constructed in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • If required, manage project budget, and project resource allocation
  • Ensure all field personnel complete required safety training and hold appropriate tickets
  • Ensure all field personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements, and work and equipment maintenance procedures
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are operated and maintained in accordance with approved company standards and practices
  • Document all violations and incidents

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supervision and project oversight within mechanical construction and maintenance, specifically related to oil and gas pipelines and facilities.
    • Reading P&ID's, surveys, GA's and alike.
    • Dimensioning and drafting isometrics.
    • Site & ROW layout.
    • Bending.
    • ACORN and Bluebeam.
    • MS Excel.
    • MS Teams and Outlook
    • MS Projects, Primavera P6 an asset.
    • Coordinating ground disturbance.
    • Vender management.
    • ASME and CSA.
    • Quality control requirements.
    • Project controls.

Education
  • Must possess valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Ground Disturbance Level 2, and Confined Space Entry/Monitor tickets
  • API 1169 is an asset

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Solid understanding of construction methods and blueprint reading
  • Sound knowledge of construction execution and best practices
