Role Summary:We are seeking an Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Fort McMurray. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
- Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications / Requirements:- Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred).
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in industrial maintenance electrical work.
- Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment.
- Valid driver's licence
- Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
- Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
Compensation & Benefits:- Rate: Based on Experience
- Shift: 10 on and 4 off
- Travel: Flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton
- Accommodations: Camp Provided
- Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
