Full Job Description
Felix Construction is seeking an Electrical Field Superintendent to lead electrical crews in the construction of water/wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, wells, and booster stations. This hands-on field role involves planning, directing, and executing electrical work on industrial projects. Ideal candidates are strong communicators with advanced field experience, comfortable working and leading with a commitment to safety, quality, and mentoring others.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Ensure crews follow all safety procedures, conduct daily safety briefings, and maintain compliance with NEC, NFPA 70, and company safety protocols.
  • Lead electrical crews in the installation and wiring of electrical services, RTUs, VFDs, LCPs, distribution equipment, field instrumentation, and other industrial equipment.
  • Installing above grade and underground conduits (PVC, GRC and PVC coated rigid).
  • Interpret and execute work packages, electrical drawings, and MOPOs (Maintenance of Plant Operation).
  • Track your crew's hours, manage timecards, and provide regular assessments of assigned junior electricians and apprentices.
  • Generate material lists, coordinate material delivery, inspect inventory, and manage tools and equipment on-site.
  • Collaborate with GCs, superintendents, field operations managers, and project managers to meet daily and weekly goals aligned with project schedules.
  • Stay on top of projects by keeping an updated look ahead schedule. Demonstrate effective use of look ahead schedules to manage material and equipment deliveries, manpower, and inspection coordination.
  • Provide training and mentorship to the electricians and laborers that are assigned to you.

Who You Are
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a 4-year electrical apprenticeship preferred (or work experience equivalent)
  • At least 8 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (can be completed after hire)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Skilled interpretation of construction drawing packages, ladder diagrams, and electrical schematics
  • Familiar with conduit bending and installation (½" to 4" PVC, GRC, and PVC coated GRC), switchgear setup, and control wiring
  • Proficient using a laptop to perform administrative tasks, and smartphones and tablets for jobsite documentation
  • Clear communicator with inspectors, engineers, and cross-functional teams


Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires working outdoors at construction job sites in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, climb ladders, and use hand tools. Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, walk, and reach for extended periods.
