Full Job Description
Primary Objective of Position

The Electrical Engineer supports all functions of the New Product Development and Ongoing Product Development programs including qualification of new components, investigating design and assembly non-conformances, integration of new parts and systems, and execute product improvements by utilizing robust engineering practices. Using criteria from product plans, styling sheets, development schedules, and input from engineering management an Electrical Engineer will produce schematics, routings, device placement/use and oversee the installation process of their designs. This role is responsible for the tactical and systematic management of development and changes required for the release and lifecycle of the product.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Design and validate systems and components using acceptable engineering principles of design
  • Release for production all components and drawings required to complete the assigned project within cost and time parameters
  • Conceptualize designs, plans, details, and procedures to accurately convey construction and fabrication requirements
  • Coordinate with supply chain to analyze vendor-supplied samples and drawings to incorporate the required information and designs into the final product
  • Investigate design and assembly improvements to improve safety, and reduce warranty, cost, and complexity
  • Work within company design parameters and all state, federal, and foreign statutes regarding design requirements
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering as required to develop production work instructions, tooling requirements, and manufacturability


  • Follow standard work instructions and complete required documentation
  • Work in a safe manner and follow all company safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or relevant engineering field
  • At least four years of combined education and experience in design of electrical systems
  • Thorough understanding and efficiency with professional design standards and drafting practices
  • Must possess engineering skills and capable of interacting with related engineering disciplines
  • Proficient in Siemens NX, Capital, or similar CAD modeling systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiar with ERP systems


  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Versed in collaborating effectively across multiple cross-functional groups and within all levels of the company


Preferred Qualifications

  • Project experience with complex, multidiscipline programs
  • Siemens Teamcenter experience
  • Knowledge of industry and governmental standards for RV manufacturing
