Overview

We have a challenging and highly rewarding opportunity for a motivated Electrical Engineer, with a focus in Waster/Wastewater.

Responsibilities

This position provides an opportunity to work on the design of detailed plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water and wastewater storage and conveyance systems. Additionally, you will contribute to the design of major projects from various markets locally and around the country.

  • Participate on project teams in an active production role
  • Preparation of project specifications
  • Preparation of electrical construction cost estimates
  • Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines
  • Coordination and verification of as-built drawings
  • Perform quality work that promotes client retention
  • Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical floor plans, equipment schematic diagrams, equipment block diagrams, equipment load calculations, and connection diagrams
  • Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in area of water and wastewater systems
Qualifications
  • 4+ year of experience in electrical engineering with municipal water and wastewater systems planning and design
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus)
  • Professional Engineer license required
  • Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes
  • Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM 65 Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus
  • Electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design experience
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
