*This position will report to our Indianapolis, IN office.
Our team is looking for a qualified, ambitious, and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to support our Water Resources team. We are hiring at our Indianapolis office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Design power distribution, motor control, lighting, and instrumentation systems for water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities, including treatment plants, pump stations, and lift stations.
- Develop electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and circuiting for process and facility electrical systems.
- Work with SCADA and instrumentation systems, coordinating electrical infrastructure with controls and automation needs.
- Prepare bidding documents and construction specifications for municipal water and wastewater projects.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the NEV and other applicable codes and utility standards.
WHAT YOU NEED- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; experience with water/wastewater or other heavy industrial facilities preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in electrical engineering and design, providing electrical and instrumentation designs for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including lighting and power distribution systems.
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Life Safety Codes, and other related codes.
- Ability to think critically, manage time, and solve problems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
