Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Registered as a State of Michigan Professional Engineer (PE).
• Four or more years of experience in designing and constructing electrical systems in commercial, educational, or research buildings.
• Knowledge of primary and secondary voltage systems.
• Experienced in lighting control and fire alarm design.

Responsibilities

• Report to Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Manager.
• Manage renovation project design from scope to budget, including coordination with third-party consultants.
• Create detailed drawing and specification documentation for electrical systems within self-performed designs.
• Ensure consultant activities meet project requirements and manage Request for Proposals and payment processes.
• Communicate with stakeholders to define project goals and allocate resources effectively.
• Conduct field surveys of existing systems to assess conditions and guide recommendations for upgrades or alterations.
• Review designs for regulatory compliance, process RFIs, and resolve construction-related issues.
