Full Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer (Senior / Staff) - Power Innovation, you will lead the design and optimization of electrical systems supporting critical infrastructure, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You will play a key role in advancing Power Innovation initiatives, integrating emerging technologies, enhancing system reliability, and shaping the future of energy delivery. This is a high-impact role where you will operate with increasing independence while leading complex projects and influencing engineering standards and practices.

Responsibilities / Expectations
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure
  • Drive Power Innovation initiatives, including the integration of automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced control systems
  • Apply and enhance safety practices, including arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and protection systems
  • Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system design for both new construction and upgrades
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE)
  • Analyze system performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet operational and business needs
  • Mentor and support the development of engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing
  • Influence engineering standards, technical strategy, and decision-making (Staff-level expectation)
  • Other duties as assigned


Education / Experience(Required)

Staff:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university and (15) fifteen years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college or university


Senior:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or universityand eight (8) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry
  • Preferred: Master's degree in electrical engineering


Preferred:
  • Experience supporting Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC projects
  • Experience with instrumentation and control system design
  • Experience with power system modeling and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink)
  • Knowledge of high-voltage systems, transformers, generators, switchgear, and grid integration


Other Requirements
  • Strong expertise in power generation, power distribution systems, and electrical design
  • Experience integrating advanced power technologies, including automation, controls, and energy systems
  • Ability to analyze system performance and reliability, including arc flash, fault analysis, and system optimization
  • Experience with automation and control systems, including PLCs and HMI systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while leading technical efforts and influencing outcomes
