Location: Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, FL

Project Overview:

Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for the civil engineering and acquisition support services to the U.S. Air Force's 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The effort covers full lifecycle contract support, from pre-award planning through contract administration and closeout. Overall, the project ensures efficient execution of engineering projects and compliance with federal acquisition regulations.

This role is contingent upon award of project.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop solutions and design plans for complex electrical systems related to facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems
  • Prepare technical requirements, specifications, and cost estimates for engineering projects
  • Support requirement development by translating customer needs into actionable engineering designs
  • Review and evaluate design submissions from Architect/Engineer (A/E) contractors for accuracy and compliance
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support engineering and construction projects
  • Assist in project planning, programming, and development of engineering documentation
  • Perform technical reviews of deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Develop cost estimates, design instructions, and supporting documentation for project execution
  • Support design management activities, including coordination and oversight of project requirements
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation to support decision-making and project tracking

Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:

Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Degree must be from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)

Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing solutions and designs for complex electrical systems
  • Experience must be related to Department of Defense (DoD) or commercial facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems
  • Includes work on facility electrical systems and high-voltage distribution systems

Key Attributes & Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical system design, including facility power systems and high-voltage distribution
  • Ability to develop engineering solutions for complex infrastructure and utility systems
  • Proficiency in preparing technical specifications, design documents, and cost estimates
  • Experience in reviewing and evaluating A/E contractor design submittals for accuracy and compliance
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to analyze requirements and translate customer needs into technical solutions
  • Skilled in technical reporting, documentation, and presentation development
  • Capability to support project planning, programming, and design management activities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills in engineering environments
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with DoD, federal, or large-scale commercial infrastructure projects is highly beneficial
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with contractors and project teams
  • Ability to work independently with self-discipline and minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times
