Full Job Description
About the role

We are looking for bright Electrical Engineers interested in designing and building next-generation compute, sensor, and other custom electrical hardware components for autonomous and AI-driven vehicles, trucks, industrial (mining, ag-tech, and constructions) equipment. Our electrical engineers work across the full hardware lifecycle - from schematic design and PCB layout to bring-up, validation, and production support - collaborating closely with software, firmware, and mechanical teams to ship reliable systems into production vehicle programs.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Design and review schematics and PCB layouts for compute, sensor, and interface hardware
  • Support hardware bring-up and debug, including board-level and component-level troubleshooting
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware functionality, performance, and reliability
  • Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware with embedded systems and validate end-to-end functionality
  • Work with vendors and contract manufacturers to support prototyping, DFM/DFT reviews, and production ramp
  • Contribute to hardware documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test reports

We're looking for someone who has:
  • BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree
  • Strong fundamentals in circuit design, digital/analog electronics, and PCB layout graduating by December 2026
  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) for hardware debug and validation
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and hardware specifications

Nice to have:
  • Experience with high-speed digital design, power electronics, or RF/sensor interfaces
  • Familiarity with communication protocols relevant to vehicle systems (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C)
  • Exposure to compliance/EMC testing or DFM/DFT processes
  • Prior internship or project experience with automotive, robotics, or embedded hardware

Don't meet every single requirement? If you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
