Position Summary

LCI is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Electrical Engineer that will deliver specialized electrical engineering design, systems analysis, and construction administration services for facility infrastructure projects. This position focuses on the modernization, sustainment, restoration, and new construction of critical electrical, power distribution, and facility energy systems. The engineer ensures that technical drawings, physical installations, and operational parameters align with strict regulatory, safety, and electrical performance standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide construction administration and field quality assurance oversight for industrial, commercial, and utility mechanical systems.
  • Formulate technical specifications, project requirements, and precise cost estimations for facility design and construction.
  • Review mechanical submittals, equipment data, engineering drawings, and complex requests for information (RFIs).
  • Evaluate project claims, field variance requests, and proposed mechanical design modifications.
  • Conduct strict mechanical constructability and performance reviews during project planning stages.
  • Offer specialized mechanical technical expertise while collaborating across civil, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
  • Create and update administrative program files, project progress logs, and multi-year construction history archives.
  • Develop project proposal documents, third-party technical evaluations, peer review files, and functional equipment test plans.
  • Facilitate formal project conferences, community relations efforts, risk communication briefs, and stakeholder alignment meetings.
  • Track and apply complex regulatory changes across changing federal, state, and institutional environmental statutes.
  • Analyze business processes, research technical data gaps, and provide strategic reach-back recommendations for past initiatives.
  • Maintain clear communications regarding technical objectives with site construction teams, vendors, and leadership.


Education & Experience Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-approved academic program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mechanical project design, mechanical facility construction, or project management.
  • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • Citizenship: United States citizenship is strictly required.
  • Licensing: Valid state-issued driver's license to travel independently across local construction and job sites.


Skill & Certification Requirements
  • Electrical Systems Mastery: Deep understanding of power distribution, electrical engineering concepts, circuitry, lighting, and facility energy management.
  • Technical Blueprint Analysis: Proficient in reading and interpreting multi-layered mechanical blueprints, piping diagrams, and architectural drawings.
  • Project Administration: Expert capability to plan, organize, and lead multi-disciplinary teams through complex mechanical system studies and construction life cycles.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Strong ability to negotiate complex technical adjustments when proposals challenge established concepts or require substantial resources.
  • Safety & Compliance: Full understanding of safety practices, standard electrical codes (NEC), industry safety protocols, and field inspection procedures.
  • Communication: Fluency in English with exceptional written and oral communication capabilities for technical and executive audiences.
  • Software Tools: Mastery of administrative productivity tools including word processing, complex spreadsheet formulas, and data management software.
  • Spatial Mapping Systems: Functional capability to interpret, reference, and navigate Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
  • Highly proficient in business software applications (i.e.: Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
  • Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)
