In this IT role, you will work with state-of-the-art Market & Energy Management Systems utilizing niche technologies to support the reliable and economic administration of the wholesale electricity market in New England.

How you will make an Impact- Analyze, design, program, troubleshoot, and implement fixes associated with Real-Time Market Systems and related applications
- Plan, coordinate, and perform complex technical assignments related to software applications in support of the Operations, Market Administration, Internal Market Mitigation, and Outage Scheduling groups
- Provide production support to various internal and external-facing applications
- Coordinate with consultants and vendors on project deliverables
- Integrate software solutions across multiple applications, systems, and databases
- Follow Change Management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies and procedures
What we are looking for - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Computer Science required; advanced degree preferred
- Working knowledge of bulk power systems and energy market operations
- Programming skills in Java and Oracle technologies is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to participate in the on-call rotation, which may include working hours outside of the standard schedule; prior on-call experience is a plus
- Desired (but not required):
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, DevOps, GitOps, and Docker technologies
- Experience with GE Grid (formerly Alstom) MMS/EMS or similar products
- Knowledge of optimization algorithms
The expected salary range for an Engineer to Senior Engineer is $ $120,000 - $146,000 per year. We will also consider an Assistant Engineer to Associate Engineer. The pay range for those levels is $85,000 - $116,000 annually.
