BBA's Vancouver office is looking for a Senior ElectricalEngineering Lead to contribute to the various stages of major electricalengineering projects in the industrial space. There will be opportunities to participate inprojects from the earliest stages of business development to onsite equipmentcommissioning.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
  • P.Eng. or eligible to register with EGBC as a P.Eng
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience with power distribution systems in the mining, industrial, or municipality sectors
  • Experience preparing and reviewing technical documents such as reports, specifications, design drawings, studies, plans, and instructions
  • Practical knowledge of MV & LV distribution in industrial plants, including single line diagrams, site layouts, panel layouts, schematics, grounding, and lighting
  • Practical knowledge of motor control and drive
  • Practical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
  • Experience preparing HV/MV/LV electrical equipment specifications
  • Experience preparing and reviewing project estimates
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong and demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • A valid driver's license
  • Able to travel to customer sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA, and international destinations for project short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests, and more
