Full Job Description
Engineer III, Electrical - Hybrid (4 days onsite in Towson)

Towson, MD, USA

The Job:

As an Electrical Engineer III, you'll be part of our Tools & Outdoors Product Execution team working as a hybrid employee. You'll get to:
  • Evaluate electronic designs that utilize lithium batteries in products.
  • Conduct design reviews on technical documentation and electrical designs with a focus on system & product safety, quality and best practices.
  • Participate in all safety reviews, pull system level safety concerns into module level safety assessments, and conduct system Fault Hazard Analysis.
  • Evaluate integration of platformed components (assemblies) to ensure compatibility, functionality, & best practices.
  • Detect and confirm critical test documentation where required and supplemental value add requirements.
  • Conduct system DFMEAs & product Hazard Fault Analysis on products with a viewpoint of the system as a whole and the interaction between individual products &/or subassemblies
  • Assist with defining & translating engineering technical requirements (SW, EE, EM) based on product requirements.
  • Liaises cross-organizationally to evaluate and address common issues.
  • Create or maintain electrical systems engineering specifications and design guides.
  • Cultivate and promote a common culture of concepts, terminology, and best practices throughout the wider organization.
  • Lithium ion battery management a plus.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $72,000 - $120,240 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
