Position Summary

Ultra Maritime’s Electrical Engineering team in Victor, NY supports the development and production of cutting-edge Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) technology. In this role you would design, develop, and test electronic equipment, components, circuits, and systems. You will work with a team that supports the design, production, and testing of advanced ASW receiver systems, including sonobuoy receivers, RF front-end modules, and digital signal processing electronics. This includes requirements analysis, design and implementation, development testing, and support of final customer verification and validation. You will report to the Manager of Electrical Engineering.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of digital and analog circuits. This includes component selection, electrical design, schematic capture in Altium, and design constraints for board layout.
  • Provide electrical engineering input into project planning and execution.
  • Assist senior engineers with creation of technical documents such as requirements specifications and test procedures.
  • Support software design and system integration.
  • Hands on laboratory work will be required for board construction, testing and/or debug, equipment construction, validation testing and other activities as required.

Required Skills:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Minimum 2 years of experience designing digital and analog circuits.
  • Experience with circuit analysis tools such as LTSpice.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a small engineering team.
  • Experience analyzing and debugging hardware using basic test equipment such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.  Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.

Desired Skills:

  • PCB layout of multilayer boards.
  • Knowledge of high speed digital design or RF PCB design and associated toolsets.
  • Familiarity with writing scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) or software (C, C++, Java).
  • Experience with advanced test equipment such as network analyzers or spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience with JTAG boundary scan test tools.

Expected Compensation: The expected compensation range for this role is

$90,688.00 - $113,360.00.
