TITLE: Electrical Engineer II
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To support the plant operations through design, build, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all electrical systems throughout the plant.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum B.S degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3-7 years of progressively responsible electrical engineering experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good administrative abilities
- Proficient in computer and software applications
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Design, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems, including but not limited to temperature controls, AC/DC variable speed drives, PLCs, HMIs, computers, motor control centers, tension controls, and power systems.
- Recommend, coordinate, and manage all aspects of improvement projects throughout the plant, including project cost controls.
- Understand and implement designs from technical drawings and documentation.
- Interact and evaluate contractor/vendor quotations using verbal and written communication.
- Analyze product failure data in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
- Gather, review, and analyze data to generate reports for management.
- Test and repair electrical/electronic devices.
- Develop and conduct training for installation, repair, and maintenance procedures.
- Supervise and support technicians and production personnel as needed.
- Train electrical technicians in all aspects of maintenance responsibilities.
- Ensure all work within the plant adheres to NEC standards.
- Be available for emergency call out and on-call rotation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:- Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions not necessarily temperature conditions.
- Outside environmental conditions, there is no effective protection from weather.
- Subject to extreme cold, temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
- Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
- Subject to noise causing reason to shout to be heard above the noise level.
