Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a contract opportunity in Tulsa, OK.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Knowledge and skills using ECAD tools, preferably Siemens Capital and Xpedition Designer Vx.
  • Progressive understanding of power systems, communications systems, flight control systems, and autonomous mission systems for unmanned platforms.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and production support environments, including design for manufacturability principles.
  • Capable of managing and working in an environment that is fast paced, demanding, with a focus on problem resolution, process improvement, and production line support.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments and support hands-on troubleshooting and testing activities.
  • Must be a U.S Citizen.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for leading Electrical Engineering design through system requirements, design, analysis, test, hardware build, liaison and delivery for CUAS interceptor drone systems.
  • Defines and establishes the technical approach to meet assigned objectives for both new development and production line enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure programs are accomplished on schedule and within budget while complying with process, procedures and program requirements.
  • Support production line operations by rapidly implementing design improvements and resolving electrical system issues to maintain production flow.
  • Participate and integrate lessons learned from field operations and testing into production line improvements with minimal disruption to manufacturing schedules.
  • Prepares reports, formal documentation and presentation materials summarizing analysis results and present results to both external and internal groups, including leadership and customers.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other junior level employees and production support personnel.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are optimized for producibility and support continuous improvement initiatives.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Design related experience in defense aerospace industry, particularly with unmanned aerial systems or counter-UAS technologies.
  • Outstanding communication (both verbally and written), collaboration, time management, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience developing secondary power distribution systems, developing drone communications and datalink systems, and familiarity with power systems standards like MIL-STD-704 or MIL-STD-1275.
  • Experience in electrical system design using Siemens Capital. Willing to perform or participate in administrative duties for same tool.
  • Familiarity with battery management systems, electric propulsion systems, and high-power density electrical architectures for small unmanned platforms.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and concurrent engineering practices that support rapid iteration and production implementation.
  • Results-oriented, empowering leader with direct experience excelling in a matrixed environment and production support roles.
  • Embedded system design experience including microcontroller integration experience to include sensor and peripheral interface design.


REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience in electrical design for unmanned systems, aerospace, or defense applications. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
