experience with the design and development of medium and low-voltage electrical industrial power systems, including switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers, and variable frequency drives. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing design, construction, and assessment services for building electrical and energy systems in a wide range of projects, including water, wastewater, municipal, government, industrial, and commercial facilities. Responsibilities:
- Design and develop medium and low-voltage electrical industrial power systems, including switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers, and variable frequency drives.
- Implement process instrumentation and control systems to optimize facility operations.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering studies, reports, calculations, designs, specifications, and construction cost estimates, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Manage designs throughout the construction phase, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to information requests, and generating punch lists.
- Collaborate within a project team environment, coordinating with other disciplines and design team members.
- Establish performance parameters for electrical equipment based on project requirements and collaborate with equipment vendors to refine preliminary selections.
- Proficiency in utilizing industry-standard software and tools for electrical design and analysis.
QualificationsMinimum Requirement:- BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in California, or ability to become licensed through reciprocity.
