This position will be based at ONTO SDI in North Billerica, MA, and will report to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications- Must have 2+ years of product development experience, preferably engaged in the manufacture of advanced semiconductor equipment.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical fields.
- Background in the development of semiconductor equipment, including optical-based equipment, is a plus
- Proficiency with design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ePlan).
- Experience with embedded systems, PCB design, PLCs, or microcontrollers is highly desirable.
- Experience with electrical layouts and design (AC and DC).
- Experience working on industrial equipment interlocks and EMO safety systems.
- Experience working with and maintaining NRTL safety and electrical certifications.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Experience working in a production and R&D environment.
- Background working with programmable instruments, motion controllers, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Extensive experience working independently, troubleshooting electrical issues, improving designs, and developing new ones.
- Proficient at soldering electrical cabling and PCBs (both through-hole and surface-mount components).
- Experienced working with key module and component suppliers
- Strong problem-solving, technical skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate, quantitative, and timely analysis.
Compensation & Growth• Base Salary Range:
$72,080.00 - $108,120.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
