Full Job Description
This is a non-telework position located in Pearblossom, CA.

Associate Hydroelectric Power Utility Engineer

Incumbent will be required to perform engineering work on matters relating to electrical and mechanical systems on the State Water Project (SWP). Develop and review engineering standards, instructions and work scopes pertaining to equipment repair; maintenance and replacement on the SWP hydroelectric generating and pumping plants and appurtenant facilities; direct investigations of equipment problems and failures and provides technical assistance in the development and implementation of corrective action; evaluate the Project's preventative maintenance program and maintenance management system.

Electrical Engineer

Incumbent performs the less complex types of electrical engineering work; inspects the installation of electrical equipment and prepares reports. Incumbent must carry out all work assignments in a safe, economical and efficient manner.

Special Requirements
Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's License as incumbent will be required to operate automotive vehicles on public roadways, travel to remote areas within the field division is necessary to perform the requirements of this position.

Under the provisions of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard CIP-004 as part of the Energy Policy of 2005, this position has authorized cyber access to or unescorted physical access around critical cyber assets and is subject to a satisfactory background check prior to appointment and every seven years thereafter.
