Electrical/Electronics Engineers to support
AFMC 638 SCMG/EN. This position is located at Robins AFB.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:- Responsible for ensuring excellent engineering support to supply chain management and compliance with the Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) requirements of supported AFLCMC aircraft and commodity Chief Engineers. Primary Group interface to 638th Squadron Engineering Flight Chief and 638 SCMG Director of Engineering.
- The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an electronics engineer with project management, execution, and operational responsibility in assigned area(s).
- Considered the technical expert for the organization in electronics engineering assignments concerning Supply Chain Management.
- Provide technical expertise and management to ensure project/program success. Work encompasses several phases of the developmental process in which the employee provides guidance and evaluation of the design and development activities within the assigned area(s). Also includes Reliability and Maintainability analysis and resolutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:- A BS in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
- Knowledge of developmental testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
- Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment, sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
- Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.
- Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
