Full Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for electronic system architecture design, schematic design (or review), PCB design (or review), component selection, wiring, and system integration for North American Range products.
  2. Responsible for electronic solution design of Range products, ensuring compliance with North American stringent requirements for electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, performance, energy efficiency, and reliability; responsible for writing and reviewing electrical design specifications, test plans, and certification technical documentation.
  3. Work closely with structural, hardware/software development, testing, manufacturing, and procurement teams, providing electrical technical support and problem-solving throughout the process from design to mass production.
  4. Lead the electronic certification (UL, CSA, ETL) and EMC certification (FCC, ICES) processes for products.


Qualifications:

Education Background:
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.

Work Experience:
  • 10+ years of electrical design and development experience for North American home appliance products.
  • 5+ years of electrical development experience for North American Range products, with experience leading or serving as a core team member to complete at least 3 mass-produced products for the North American market.

Professional Skills:
Proficiency in North American Product Electronic Design, Safety and EMC Standards:
  • Electrical Safety: Proficient in UL 858 series, CSA standards, including EMC, insulation coordination, safety clearances, creepage distances, fire-resistant material requirements, abnormal testing, etc.
  • Circuit Design: Expert in analog and digital circuit design, capable of designing electrical solutions based on North American product requirements, and able to review and guide electrical engineers' work.
  • Component Selection and Certification: Expert in selecting commonly used electronic and electrical components for home appliances (relays, contactors, switches, fuses, cables, connectors, motors, PCBs, etc.), ensuring compliance with UL/CSA/cULus component certification requirements.
  • Wiring Harness and Cabling: Familiar with North American home appliance wiring harness design specifications and process requirements, knowledgeable in relevant standards (such as UL 858, etc.).
  • Electrical Simulation and Testing: Capable of using relevant tools for circuit simulation analysis; proficient in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, safety testers, EMI receivers, and other equipment for debugging and troubleshooting. Able to plan and execute electrical-related tests (safety pre-testing, EMC pre-testing, performance testing, life testing).
