The Opportunity - Build the Future with Us

As an Electrical Design Technologist, you will join WSP's Electrical Buildings team, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and transportation sectors. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to technically complex building systems while working alongside experienced engineers and technologists in a collaborative, quality-driven environment.
Your Impact
  • Design electrical systems for a wide range of building types and project locations.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary design teams by developing electrical designs, coordinating with engineers and technicians, and supporting client communication.
  • Prepare electrical designs for power distribution systems (normal and backup), lighting, fire alarm, and building infrastructure.
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with the National Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, and other applicable standards.
  • Prepare models, drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard CAD and BIM tools.
  • Support construction reviews and contract administration activities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, and internal stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $70,600 - $97,200
