Job Title: Electrical Commercial Grade Dedication Engineer, Nuclear
Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee
Type: Direct Hire
Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and implement Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) plans to support Safety Related (QL1) procurements.
  • Design, fabricate, and implement test setups to fulfill rigorous testing requirements.
  • Develop and assist in the creation of test plans, including conducting specialized tests for commercial grade dedication purposes.
  • Carry out failure analysis and repairs on electronic instrumentation and control (I&C) systems.
  • Conduct seismic testing utilizing a Triaxial Seismic Testing machine, as well as environmental testing in alignment with established test plans.
  • Coordinate and oversee special inspections conducted by other organizations or off-site testing facilities, as necessary.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations, requirements, procedures, and specifications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support overall operational objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree in a technical field required; extensive experience in the nuclear industry or related fields may substitute for formal education.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the nuclear industry or with suppliers preferred.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and operational manuals.
  • Capable of interpreting test data and writing detailed test or inspection reports with clear recommendations.
  • Familiarity with various test equipment including DMM, Hi Pot, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, and other precision measurement tools required.
  • Previous experience with equipment such as OES, XRF, and FTIR is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of Commercial Grade Dedication (EPRI NP5652) and Equipment Qualification concepts is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) with excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
