Electrical AI&T Engineer III - Advanced Programs Design, procure, assemble, and operate EGSE systems for spacecraft AI&T including power distribution, communications, telemetry/command, RF test, and custom hardware interfaces Design and build EGSE harnesses for interfacing test equipment and spacecraft systems Lead spacecraft electrical system integration across avionics, EPS, communications, and propulsion subsystems Write and execute implementation plans, test procedures, and build documentation Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies observed during integration and test operations Support vehicle-level environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, EMI/EMC) Support program milestones including PDR, CDR, MRR, and TRR Operate within cleanroom and ESD-controlled environments around flight hardware Create technical documentation and interface control documents (ICDs) for EGSE and AI&T handoffs across teams Develop and run automated test scripts and code for hardware validation and regression testing B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline 5+ years of experience supporting spacecraft flight hardware and integration environments Experience architecting and deploying EGSE systems including power, command & telemetry, RF, and custom interfaces Familiarity with spacecraft integration processes and spacecraft build flows Ability to lead subsystem and vehicle-level electrical integration and testing Strong skills in technical writing, procedure authorship, and troubleshooting Experience developing and executing automated test scripts (e.g., Python) Proficient with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies Experience with code verification and validation best practices Familiarity with ESD-safe handling procedures and cleanroom protocols Strong cross-functional awareness and systems-level thinking Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment where priorities shift quickly Work location within the LA area Strong background in core EE fundamentals (analog/digital circuits, power, grounding, etc.) Experience with spacecraft data buses and interfaces (RS422/RS485, SpaceWire, Ethernet, SERDES, LVDS, CAN, Discrete IO, Cameralink) Familiarity with avionics system architecture, electrical power system (EPS) architecture, and spacecraft power modeling Hands-on experience with ECAD tools like OrCAD or Altium for schematic capture, layout, and parts library management Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, PSpice) Experience with FPGA-based systems and HDL programming (VHDL, Verilog) Certification in NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC-620, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721 Experience authoring and validating spacecraft electrical system requirements Project management or test campaign leadership experience Ownership - Lead the development and operation of EGSE systems across mission phases Innovation - Build custom tools and processes to accelerate integration and test Impact - Be a critical enabler for mission readiness and system-level success Growth - Join a rapidly growing engineering team at the core of hardware execution Compensation - Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, generous leave, FSA, 401(k) matching, and equity sharing Location: Hawthorne, CA Compensation: $125,000 to $180,000 Annual Salary Depending on Experience
