EHS Technician IIThe EHS Technician II will perform necessary assessments, inventories, and inspections for various environmental and safety regulations. Level will be determined based on experience, education, and demonstrated capability.
What will you do?- Conducts inspections and audits for EHS-related compliance items, including but not limited to fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, hazardous waste collection sites, flammable cabinets, etc.
- Manages hazardous waste collection areas on the site and arranges for hazardous waste pickup.
- Prepares reports for submission to Corporate or regulatory bodies
- Assists with and provides EHS related training.
- Maintains data pertaining to SDS, Accident Reports, and corrective action.
- Assists in coordinate and managing drills in the Emergency Response Program.
- Maintains files and documentation records as required by various agencies.
- Assists in the Ergonomics Program and conducts workstation audits.
- Controls, improves, and manages the Personal Protective Equipment needed.
- Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.
- Complies and follows all procedures within the company security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education:High School Diploma or GED is required; AA or Bachelor's in EHS related discipline is preferred (or currently pursuing a related degree).
Experience:EHS Technician II: 2+ years of experience working in an EHS environment, with demonstrated ability to work independently and lead programs.
Skills:- Understands regulatory requirements, including OSHA and EPA compliance standards, as well as regulations related to storm water / wastewater.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and management.
- Computer literate with intermediate/advanced MS Office skills.
- Strong planning & organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data and support corrective actions (Level II will lead analysis and drive improvements).
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
The hourly pay range for this role is $29.86 - $53.80. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
