Description

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Program Manager will lead and implement environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple rapidly growing manufacturing facilities in Waco, TX. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a proactive culture of safety and operational excellence. The EHS Program Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to EHS Director, and site(s) leadership, influencing safety strategy, program design and embedding best practices throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, programs, and procedures across all sites.
• Ensure program level compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations, as well as global EHS standards in countries we operate.
• Conduct program specific inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify gaps in programs and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead process & program improvements for investigations of accidents, near-misses, and occupational injuries; determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor, analyze, and report EHS metrics and KPIs to site leadership, recommending continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop, schedule, and deliver EHS training programs for employees and management, including emergency response, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety programs into daily operations, including quality programs and business operating systems.
• Manage hazardous materials, waste, and emissions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Champion safety culture by influencing, coaching, and mentoring all employees across all departments.
• Drive EHS initiatives that support operational growth, scalability, and risk mitigation.
• Stay current on emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices; recommend improvements as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization's safety objectives.

Qualifications:

Required
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive EH&S experience, preferably in manufacturing or multi-site operations.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
• 5+ years' experience working alongside quality assurance and quality management.

Preferred
• Masters of Science Occupational Safety or Environmental Management
• 10+ years of progressive EH&S experience, preferably in manufacturing or multi-site operations.
• Experience in rapidly growing or scaling operations.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.

Skills and Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Experience in safety program development, risk assessment, and compliance management.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to spend time in operational, manufacturing, or field environments.
• Proficient in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and critical thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and results-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in time management, project ownership, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS management software systems.
