OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITIONThe primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership for the Corporations Environmental Health and Safety Management System. This person will develop, implement & ensure compliance with all Federal, State, & Local EH&S regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and all Rohrer Policies and Procedures at all Rohrer Corporation Locations. The EH&S manager will utilize problem solving and best practice sharing, resulting in improved EH&S key performance indicators (KPls) and report performance to executive management. The EH&S manager will report to the Corporate Quality & Compliance Manager and have strong interaction with both the executive and functional leaders across the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS- Reviewing & standardizing company-wide EH&S processes in partnership with Plant Management
- Creates policy and procedure documents & communicates process modifications as needed
- Ensure Compliance to all Federal, State and Local EH&S regulations, (OSHA, EPA, )
- Remain current on all regulatory and enforcement policies to protect the company from liabilities and minimize regulatory penalties
- Oversee and direct a world class safety program, resulting in OSHA STAR, VPP or similar recognition.
- Develop, revise and audit the application and execution of all EH&S programs for the corporation& provides routine reporting to Plant Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSRequired Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field. A combination of education and related experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive Environmental Health & Safety leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities or a multi-site organization.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and leading Environmental Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Proven track record of reducing workplace injuries, improving safety culture, and achieving measurable EHS performance improvements.
- Experience conducting EHS audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
- Strong working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, DOT, and related environmental regulations.
- Experience presenting EHS performance metrics and strategic recommendations to executive leadership teams.
Technical Knowledge & Skills- Expert knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and industrial safety best practices.
- Experience managing environmental permitting, hazardous waste programs, air emissions, wastewater compliance, and chemical management programs.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis methodologies, including 5-Why, Fishbone, and Root Cause Counter Measures (RCCM) processes.
- Ability to analyze EHS data and trends and develop action plans that drive continuous improvement.
- Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs across multiple levels and multiple sites within the organization.
- Proficiency with EHS management systems, audit programs, risk assessment tools, and KPI reporting systems.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
- ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation or auditing experience.
- Experience within high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement training or certification.
