Full Job Description
cFocus Software seeks a Production Engineer to join our program supporting the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This position is onsite in Washington, DC. This position requires a Public Trust or the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of ten years of professional experience supporting AV/VTC and multimedia production in an enterprise environment similar in size and complexity to the EEOC.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting AV/VTC equipment and technologies identified in the PWS and providing services to geographically dispersed field offices.
  • Advanced experience designing and integrating AV/VTC solutions, developing signal-flow diagrams and equipment layouts, and supporting AV-over-IP network technologies.
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of DSPs, control systems, codecs, cameras, microphones, audio mixers, video and presentation switchers, projection systems, LED displays, recording systems, and streaming platforms.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Poly RealPresence, multi-site conferencing, webinars, and virtual or hybrid collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience operating production equipment for live and high-visibility events and managing live switching, audio mixing, camera operations, recording, streaming, and presentation support.
  • Demonstrated video editing and post-production experience with Adobe Premiere or Premiere Rush, Final Cut Pro, Wondershare Filmora, Blackmagic switching technologies, or comparable tools.
  • Working knowledge of storyboarding, visual storytelling, graphic design, animation, and motion-graphics integration.
  • Ability to diagnose complex AV, audio, video, hardware, software, codec, network, control-system, and interoperability issues and perform root-cause analysis through resolution.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, system upgrades, technical documentation, equipment lifecycle planning, ticket management, and end-user training.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills and the ability to support executives, VIPs, presenters, technical teams, vendors, and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
  • Professional command of the English language and the ability to create clear engineering, configuration, maintenance, operational, and ticket documentation.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site at EEOC Headquarters and provide approved travel, after-hours, weekend, or on-call support when operational requirements demand it.
  • Must currently possess or be able to favorably complete the required five-year employment background investigation for a Public Trust position, normally initiated through Standard Form 85P, and meet applicable OPM suitability standards.

Duties:
  • Design, implement, integrate, commission, operate, maintain, and sustain enterprise AV/VTC solutions that meet EEOC operational and event requirements.
  • Develop signal-flow diagrams, equipment layouts, system configurations, network diagrams, and technical documentation for conference rooms, training spaces, executive briefing areas, and production environments.
  • Configure networks and supporting infrastructure for AV-over-IP technologies and integrate multiple conferencing, collaboration, presentation, streaming, and recording platforms.
  • Configure and maintain digital signal processors, control processors and systems, codecs, cameras, microphones, audio mixers, displays, projection systems, LED displays, and video or presentation switching equipment.
  • Set up, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Poly RealPresence, webinars, breakout rooms, and other approved unified communications platforms.
  • Coordinate and validate connections among Headquarters, dispersed field offices, external sites, and remote participants; monitor audio and video quality and resolve interoperability issues.
  • Operate and support live meetings, Commission hearings, executive presentations, town halls, webinars, training events, webcasts, conferences, and virtual or hybrid productions.
  • Operate production equipment and manage live video switching, audio mixing, camera operation, recording, streaming, computer presentations, public-address systems, and open or closed caption support.
  • Perform video editing and post-production using tools such as Adobe Premiere/Premiere Rush, Final Cut Pro, and Wondershare Filmora.
  • Develop and integrate storyboards, visual storytelling, graphics, animation, and motion-graphics elements into multimedia products and event content.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving audio quality, video transmission, codecs, AV hardware, control systems, network connectivity, conferencing platforms, and system interoperability.
  • Perform root-cause analysis, document technical findings and corrective actions, and coordinate formal escalation of unresolved issues until service is restored.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, testing, firmware and software upgrades, equipment repairs, and lifecycle replacement planning.
  • Monitor system health, availability, performance, capacity, and user experience and recommend upgrades or design improvements that enhance reliability and scalability.
  • Receive, document, track, and resolve AV/VTC service requests and trouble tickets affecting Headquarters or field-office systems.
  • Maintain current standard operating procedures, system records, maintenance documentation, equipment inventories, licensing, warranty information, and configuration baselines.
  • Coordinate with customers, VIPs, presenters, IT teams, AV/VTC technicians, field-office coordinators, vendors, and manufacturers to deliver solutions and resolve technical issues.
  • Train end users and technical personnel on conference-room systems, collaboration platforms, operational procedures, and AV/VTC best practices.
  • Support approved special projects, acquisitions, maintenance activities, equipment replacements, technology upgrades, new AV/VTC standards, and onsite or remote service requests.
  • Travel when approved to support Commission hearings, meetings, official events, system evaluations, implementation, maintenance, and field-office AV/VTC requirements.
