As a Nurse Education Specialist, you will:
• Onboarding/Orientation of newly hired staff
• Ongoing assessment of competency and evaluation of performance
• Provision of continuing education
• Identifies practice gaps and learning needs
• Develops an appropriate education plan based on professional practice gaps and learning needs
• Assists clinical staff in preparation for certification in specialty
• Coordinate, facilitate and evaluate activities that promote professional role development
• Obtains contact hours in specialty areas, if appropriate

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in clinical specialty required
• Master's degree in clinical specialty preferred
• 2 years in clinical specialty
• 2 years of education experience preferred
• 1 year in leadership role preferred (includes supervisor, preceptor)
• Maryland State RN licensure required
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required
• If nursing, certification in clinical specialty or nursing professional development within one year of hire
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken required, curriculum development
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
  • Typical Daily Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM
  • Shift Type: Day


Pay Range:
$77,313.60 - $115,980.80
If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:
United States of America (Exempt)
