JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

We're empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including Chemistry, Electrolytes, Hematology, Blood Gases, Coagulation, Endocrinology, Cardiac Markers, Neurology, and Informatics. This role is focused on the emergency department of the hospital and will involve providing clinical support to the account managers in the sales process to help identify and present operational workflow efficiencies in the emergency rooms to help support the value proposition and align improved outcomes with the Abbott Point of Care product portfolio.

What You'll Do

Sells technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customer for specific
technical product and/or application of product.
Provides technical interface between customer and company engineering, R&D, medical affairs and program management representatives.

Stakeholders will include Chief of ED, CNO, and other emergency physicians, nurses and lab personnel.
Research customer technical specifications and requirements with current or potential technical
specifications of company products.
Prepares and conducts technical sales briefings for customer and company representatives. Able to provide workflow improvements and financial cost optimizations based on customer provided data or real-world evidence taken live.
Develops potential technical specifications, pricing considerations and contract requirements.
Prepares sales forecasts.
Investigates new applications or improvements to products with customers.

Required Qualifications

Completed bachelor's degree required. MSc, PHD in medical sciences is preferred.

Six to ten years of relevant experience.

Ability to maintain consistent momentum with multiple products and across multiple sales cycles.

Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications in English and French.

Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.

Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.

Ability to work independently and as a team member.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,750.00 to $146,300.00 CAD. The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.

Assurer l'interface technique entre le client et les représentants de l'ingénierie, de la R&D, des affaires médicales et de la gestion de programmes de l'entreprise.

Les parties prenantes incluront le chef du service des urgences, l'ICC, ainsi que d'autres médecins urgentistes, des infirmiers et le personnel de laboratoire.
Effectuer des recherches sur les spécifications techniques et les exigences des clients en fonction des spécifications
techniques actuelles ou potentielles des produits de l'entreprise.
Préparer et diriger des séances d'information techniques pour les représentants des clients et de l'entreprise. Être en mesure d'améliorer le flux de travail et d'optimiser les coûts financiers en fonction des données fournies par les clients ou des preuves concrètes recueillies en direct.
Élaborer des spécifications techniques potentielles, des considérations relatives à la tarification et des exigences contractuelles.
Préparer les prévisions de ventes.

Qualifications requises

Baccalauréat requis. Une maîtrise (M. Sc.) ou un doctorat (Ph. D.) en sciences médicales est privilégié.

Six à dix ans d'expérience pertinente.

Capacité à maintenir une dynamique constante pour plusieurs produits et à travers plusieurs cycles de vente.
