Description
Centex Technologies is seeking an experienced ecosystem-engagement professional to support the Army Applications Laboratory in Austin. This role helps connect Army stakeholders with non-traditional technology companies, entrepreneurs, investors, academic partners, and other organizations that can contribute to Army innovation.
What You Will Do- Build and maintain relationships across the defense, technology, startup, investment, academic, and government ecosystem.
- Identify organizations and capabilities that may align with Army problem sets and innovation priorities.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, visits, demonstrations, conferences, and other high-visibility engagements.
- Prepare outreach materials, stakeholder briefs, presentations, reports, and follow-up communications.
- Track engagement activity, outcomes, action items, metrics, and contract deliverables.
- Partner with program, technical, operations, and communications teams to deliver a consistent stakeholder experience.
- Accurately record all hours worked for federal-contract compliance, project tracking, and billing.
- Travel as needed to fulfill approved contractual obligations.
Schedule and Contract InformationThis position supports the Army Applications Laboratory Support Services contract for the period April 14, 2026 through April 11, 2027. The position is salaried exempt. All hours worked must be accurately recorded for contract compliance, project tracking, and billing.
Requirements
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Five or more years of experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, program support, community engagement, business development, innovation program, or related areas.
- Excellent relationship-building, writing, facilitation, presentation, and follow-through skills.
- Experience supporting meetings, events, executive engagements, or external partner programs.
- Ability to work effectively with government, technical, startup, investor, and business stakeholders.
- Strong organization, professional judgment, and comfort working in a fast-moving customer environment.
- Ability to work onsite or in a hybrid arrangement at 701 Brazos Street in Austin, as directed by program and contract requirements, and to travel when required.
- Ability to satisfy applicable background-screening, customer, facility-access, and contract requirements for the assignment.
Preferred ExperienceExperience with the Department of Defense, U.S. Army, federal contracting, defense technology, dual-use startups, venture capital, accelerators, research institutions, or the Austin innovation ecosystem is strongly preferred.
