Full Job Description
This is a full-time position working out of our Champaign IL location. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This position reports into our office in Champaign, IL location. Local candidates preferred. However, we our considering hybrid/remote work arrangements

Typical pay for this position is $155,000-$170,000 annually. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected.

We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Technical Leader to drive the architecture, development, and optimization of our digital commerce platforms. They will lead cross-functional teams, deliver robust solutions, and support the business's growth and innovation goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical strategy and architecture for eCommerce platforms (web, mobile, integrations).
  • Oversee development, deployment, and maintenance of eCommerce systems (e.g., storefront, payment, analytics, fulfillment).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Led a team of developers, QA, and DevOps engineers-providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and performance of platforms.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party tools, APIs, and technologies.
  • Foster Agile practices, DevOps automation, and continuous delivery.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; (master's degree is preferred).
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in eCommerce.
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce architectures, cloud platforms, and integrations.
  • Expertise in web technologies and Frameworks (Javascript, HTML, CSS, React), backend systems (Salesforce suite), database design, and content management systems.
  • Proven leadership in managing technical teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Experience with payment gateways, order management, inventory, CRM, and analytics systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


Preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and suite of products, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with loyalty, fraud and payment platforms, a plus.


Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting of office supplies and materials, up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer.
