Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to support our leaders and employees across key business functions. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping them navigate organizational growth, talent challenges, employee relations matters, and workforce planning initiatives. You will play a critical role in driving employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, organizational performance, and a positive employee experience across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep HR expertise and thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. You'll be equally comfortable coaching senior leaders, leading complex organizational initiatives, and rolling up your sleeves to solve day-to-day people challenges. This is a hybrid position that requires onsite work from our Toronto office on Wednesdays and Thursdays. How You'll Make an Impact Strategic Business Partnership • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across assigned client groups. • Partner with leadership teams on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent strategy. • Align HR programs and initiatives with business goals and organizational priorities. • Provide insights and recommendations using workforce data and people analytics. Talent Management & Leadership Development • Lead talent review, succession planning, and development planning processes. • Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, and career growth strategies. • Support identification and development of high-potential talent. • Partner with leaders to build strong leadership capabilities and high-performing teams. Employee Relations & Risk Management • Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance issues. • Provide guidance on employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices. • Ensure consistent application of policies while balancing employee experience and business needs. • Identify organizational risks and proactively develop solutions. Employee Engagement & Culture • Drive employee engagement initiatives, survey action planning, and retention strategies. • Partner with leaders to strengthen team effectiveness, inclusion, recognition, and employee well-being. • Support organizational change initiatives and help leaders successfully navigate change. • Champion ecobee's values and foster a positive, high-performance culture. HR Programs & Organizational Effectiveness • Lead annual talent, compensation, and performance management processes. • Support promotions, reorganizations, workforce planning, and organizational design efforts. • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies and workforce needs. • Participate in enterprise-wide HR projects, transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts. Team Leadership • Provide leadership, coaching, and development support for HR team members as assigned. • Share best practices and contribute to the growth and capability of the broader HR team. • Foster collaboration across Human Resources centers of excellence and business partners. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience serving as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager. • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders and managing complex employee relations matters. • Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices. • Experience leading talent management, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives. • Exceptional coaching, communication, and influencing skills. • Strong business acumen and ability to balance employee and business needs. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting technology, product, engineering, customer experience, or corporate functions. • Experience in a high-growth, innovative, or rapidly evolving organization. • Experience supporting both Canadian and U.S.-based employees and leaders. • Workday or comparable HRIS experience. • Change management and organizational design experience. Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Toronto, ON is $120,000 - $150,000 CAD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives. This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; life, long-term disability, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accrued paid time off, paid Holidays (10 for Ontario, 11 for British Columbia) and RRSP retirement benefits.
