In this position, you will be responsible for developing, interpreting, and maintaining complex financial and operational models to support development planning and strategic decision-making This role leads the creation and maintenance of operational forecasts that inform and drive overall business goals, ensuring alignment between project-level performance and broader corporate objectives.
This role is located at our
Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON. This posting is for a replacement position. The expected annual salary range for this role in $90,000 - $110,000/year. This position is also eligible to participate in our short-term incentive program. Please note the compensation information shown above is a general guideline only. What We Are Looking For: - Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. CFA, CPA designation, MBA would be an asset, or desire to complete.
- 5+ Years of Real Estate Finance experience - i.e., financial analysis in a real estate environment or related business environment.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills required.
- Ability to problem solve to find solutions to problems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
What You'll Be Doing Each Day - Develop, maintain, and enhance dynamic financial models to support monthly and quarterly reporting, forecasting, and executive decision-making.
- Own and continuously refine operational forecasts, incorporating key business drivers, market conditions, and project performance metrics.
- Detailed pro forma analysis to evaluate overall profitability and returns for community sales launches, product/model performance, and planning & development community plans, including scenarios and sensitivity analysis, and preparing memos for the approval by senior leadership.
- Perform financial analysis to assess and evaluate potential acquisitions.
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and forecast updates for senior leadership.
- Assist in the execution and enhancement of dashboards for key KPIs leveraged by the leadership team to monitor overall performance across departments.
- Partner with the Data Analytics team to ensure overall data integrity and accuracy of reporting outputs.
- Identify and execute process improvement initiatives to enhance the flow, accuracy, and timeliness of financial and operational information to senior leadership.
- Produce high-quality ad-hoc analysis under tight timelines to support strategic initiatives.
