We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale environmental and civil construction projects across the United States. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on building high-performing teams, driving production, embracing technology, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

As the Superintendent, you will oversee all field operations, working closely with Project Managers, customers, and field personnel to ensure every project meets COMANCO's high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. If you're a hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, developing people, and utilizing technology to improve project performance, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Lead all field operations from mobilization through project completion. Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, equipment, and materials while maintaining production schedules and ensuring work is completed according to project specifications.

Safety Leadership: Foster a proactive safety culture by conducting daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), leading toolbox talks, enforcing company safety policies, and ensuring every employee has the equipment and training needed to work safely. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Technology & Field Documentation: Leverage construction technology to manage projects efficiently. Utilize digital reporting platforms to complete daily field reports, timecards, production tracking, equipment utilization, fuel reporting, safety observations, cost tracking, two-week look-ahead schedules, expense reporting, equipment service requests, and project documentation. Accurate, real-time reporting is essential to driving informed project decisions.

Production & Scheduling: Drive project schedules through effective planning and resource management. Monitor daily production, identify opportunities for improved efficiency, participate in short- and long-term scheduling, and consistently deliver projects on or ahead of schedule.

Financial Performance: Understand project budgets, production goals, and cost reports while actively managing field operations to maximize productivity and profitability. Identify work outside the project scope and communicate potential change order opportunities.

Quality Control: Ensure all work meets contract requirements and company quality standards. Support Quality Control personnel, maintain complete project documentation, and deliver projects that exceed client expectations while minimizing rework and callbacks.

Material & Equipment Management: Coordinate material deliveries to support project schedules while ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and inventory control. Maintain company equipment and vehicles through proper inspections, preventative maintenance, and responsible stewardship.

Leadership & Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop Foremen and field personnel by providing coaching, accountability, and opportunities for growth. Build engaged, high-performing teams committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and clients through professionalism, clear communication, and exceptional project execution.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, contracts, production tracking, and quality control.
  • Experience using construction management software, mobile field technology, digital reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead crews, manage multiple priorities, and deliver successful projects in fast-paced construction environments.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to project sites throughout the United States.
