Description
The Program Analyst ETC will be a key member of the Trust Fund and Partnerships Team within DECST, with primary responsibilities to provide programmatic, research and event support for the KCP. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of and report to KCP's Program Manager.
Duties and accountabilities:
Program Management and Operational Support
• Support the core operations of KCP, including coordinating the annual funding allocation process, contributing to the preparation of the annual report, supporting the organization of Partnership Council meetings, and providing general operational support to DECST as needed.
• Support program's financial management, including monitoring trust fund balances, tracking disbursements and commitments against allocations, flagging variances, and providing timely and accurate budget updates to the internal team.
• Prepare presentations and briefing materials for program manager and senior management, synthesizing program updates, financial information, and strategic priorities to support stakeholder engagement and communication.
Fundraising and Strategic Research Support
• Monitor and analyze Trust Fund and ODA landscapes including trends, historical contributions, and forward-looking projections.
• Lead in-depth donor intelligence research, including mapping donor priorities, funding patterns, institutional strategies, and political economy drivers, to identify opportunities for expanding and diversifying the donor base.
• Support the development of partnership proposals aligned with strategic priorities and donor interests.
• Prepare donor briefings and talking points for senior management, synthesizing key messages, strategic positioning, and relevant background for external engagement.
Knowledge Engagement and Partnership Building
• Assisting in the development and dissemination of curated knowledge products tailored to diverse audiences, including policymakers and technical practitioners.
• Support the end-to-end planning and implementation of knowledge engagement including concept development, partner identification, participant coordination, logistics, and post-event follow-up to ensure effective delivery and impact.
• Contributing to DEC's engagement with its global network of think tanks, research institutions, and development experts to expand the reach and inclusivity of DEC research.
• Supporting partnership-building activities with external stakeholders, including universities, multilateral institutions, and civil society organizations.
Selection Criteria
• Master's degree in public policy, economics, international development or any related field with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Strong understanding of economic research methodologies, policy analysis, and data collection and analysis methods, and strong analytical skills
• Understanding of overall trends in international development finance and the ODA landscape, knowledge of major development partners, partner country aid agencies, political economy, and motivation behind international development cooperation
• Experience in managing communications and relationships with stakeholders
• Experience in organizing and implementing events, including end-to-end coordination and delivery
• Existing knowledge of the World Bank's trust fund procedures, rules and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills with willingness to work in a team environment
