Full Job Description
Core Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance - Enforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, ISA, and client-specific safety standards for electrical and instrumentation work.

E&I Project Leadership - Direct all electrical, instrumentation, and controls work across multiple industrial projects, from design review through commissioning.

Estimating Oversight - review and approve all estimates including E&I scopes of work, work with estimating team to ensure all estimates are technically and commercially sound.

Technical Governance - Establish standards, specifications, and quality requirements for E&I engineering and construction.

Licensure - maintain and obtain all licenses as required by state rules and regulations.

Team Management - Lead E&I supervisors, and technicians; build capability and ensure consistent performance.

Cost & Schedule Control - Ensure E&I scopes are delivered on budget, on schedule, and with full technical compliance.

Commissioning & Startup - Oversee testing, calibration, loop checks, energization, and system turnover.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination - Serve as the senior technical interface for owners, engineers, and operations teams.

Risk Management - Identify and mitigate risks related to electrical systems, instrumentation accuracy, and control system integration.

Detailed Duties

Engineering Review - Review electrical single-line diagrams, cable schedules, instrument indexes, P&IDs, control narratives, and I/O lists.

Construction Planning - Develop installation plans, manpower forecasts, material takeoffs, and sequencing strategies.

Quality Assurance - Implement inspection and test plans (ITPs), FAT/SAT procedures, and calibration standards.

Electrical Construction Oversight - Manage installation of all E&I projects working closely with all project managers, superintendents, Safety and quality personnel.

Instrumentation & Controls - Oversee installation and testing of transmitters, analyzers, PLCs, DCS systems, and control panels.

Commissioning Leadership - Direct loop checks, functional testing, energization protocols, and turnover documentation.

Change Management - Evaluate scope changes, technical impacts, and cost/schedule implications for E&I work.

Documentation & Reporting - Maintain progress reports, redlines, as-built documentation, and commissioning records.

Training & Development - Build internal capability through training on electrical Safety, electrical construction instrumentation calibration and control system troubleshooting.
