The Opportunity:

he National Fraud Enforcement Division (FRD), established by the Department of Justice on April 7, 2026, is a new, centralized litigating division dedicated to investigating and prosecuting fraud against taxpayer‑funded programs, including healthcare, tax, and benefits fraud. The Division unites several DOJ components to create a coordinated, whole‑of‑government approach to combat fraud. FRD’s mission demands advanced technical capability, robust analytical support, and sophisticated data handling.

As part of its launch, FRD is standing up an Analytics and AI Lab to deliver cutting‑edge data solutions for complex legal matters. The Systems Manager must be expert in installing, running, maintaining, securing and upgrading any lit support software in use at the organization including client apps, server apps and Cloud apps.Expectation is that this individual would help stand up and maintain lit support software in Cloud, Server and PC.  This includes RelOne, Nuix, Axiom, etc. in AWS, Azure or LAN.  Additionally, the Systems Manager will be expected to assist in the migration of 1 PD of data from Relativity Server to RelOne.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all technical aspects of very large litigation support projects, particularly those with unique and/or complex requirements.
  • Manage all resources for the project, from equipment, to staffing, to coordination and interconnection with other already existing systems.
  • The Systems Manager must take a very proactive, leadership role in managing the technical aspects of the project, including actively coordinating with a variety of Government representatives, other contractors, and other project and Contractor components, anticipating problems, hiring and training staff, etc.
  • Oversees development of configuration management, risk analysis, and disaster recovery solutions, particularly for web hosted litigation data.
  • Consults with the government COR regarding scheduling of work, personnel assignments, priorities and progress reporting; plans, staffs, schedules, and develops cost estimates for work to be performed; and reports on progress.
  • Ensures that system and data security are adequately implemented and enforced.
  • Directs and supervises staff; ensures conformance to functional requirements, technical design, and work standards; ensures successful completion of work, timeliness of deliverables, and quality control.

Qualifications:

  • DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US citizenship required)
  • Five plus years of first line management experience
  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred; preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines. Graduate degree in computer science or information management/technology preferred.Managerial experience required
  • Must have at least three years of hands-on experience in setting up Sun servers, and in installing, running, and maintaining Oracle applications, in a large-scale office automation network.
  • Other systems and installations: Windows based systems hands-on experience setting up and running those systems and applications; browser-based systems will require extensive hands-on experience setting up and maintaining browser-based applications
  • Experience in implementing user support help desks
  • Experience developing and deploying new applications to an established user group
  • Experience in a litigation support environment
  • Hands-on experience in a Windows office automation environment such as JCON.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Trial support experience a plus.
  • Management, systems analysis and leadership, and communications skills.
