Position Description: CGI is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Data Migration Engineer/Specialist to support complex legal data transitions between enterprise eDiscovery platforms. The ideal candidate brings hands on expertise migrating case workspaces, ESI, metadata, review work product, and productions while ensuring chain of custody integrity and strict legal defensibility. This role supports active and archival matter migration efforts, collaborating with legal, IT, and operations stakeholders to deliver secure, auditable, and efficient data transfer initiatives.
***This position is 5 days a week onsite at SSA HQ in Woodlawn, MD***
Your future duties and responsibilities: . Execute end to end platform to platform migrations across COTS solutions, including Actera eDP (Clearwell) and Casepoint SaaS.
. Migrate active/archived matters, custodial collections, productions, transcripts, and review work product with full preservation of tags, redactions, search histories, and workspace configuration.
. Maintain strict data integrity using digital hashing and industry standard chain of custody validation methods.
. Map, transform, and normalize metadata and specialized load files (.DAT, .OPT, Concordance formats) to meet target platform requirements.
. Perform QA/UAT activities, including sampling, reconciliation checks, and validation audits to ensure complete and accurate migrations.
. Develop phased migration plans to minimize impact on ongoing litigation workflows and user access.
. Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure compliance with legal hold, privacy, and data retention requirements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Ability to obtain and maintain US Public Trust Clearance
. Bachelor's Degree + 5 years IT experience
. 3-7+ years of hands on experience in eDiscovery data migration, ETL workflows, or legal technology engineering.
. Strong subject matter expertise with Actera eDP (Clearwell) and Casepoint eDiscovery environments.
. Advanced proficiency with EDRM concepts, metadata handling, relational databases, and structured load files.
. Working knowledge of scripting and automation tools (Python, PowerShell, SQL).
. Experience conducting defensible, auditable migrations with documented chain of custody and full metadata preservation.
. Understanding of legal holds, retention policies, and data privacy requirements.
. Ability to work effectively with legal, IT, security, and operations stakeholders.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
. Concordance load file experience
. Experience supporting large scale complex litigation or government investigations
. Familiarity with secure data transfer protocols and cloud SaaS migration best practices

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $198,400.00.
