Full Job Description
SupervisionReports to: Sr. Director, Consumer/Distribution/VAR Channels

Your Role and Impact

The eCommerce Sales Manager, Amazon & Marketplaces, North America, is the business owner of ViewSonic's largest eCommerce account. You will own revenue, margin, forecasting, inventory, promotions, and the Amazon relationship across Amazon.com and Amazon.ca, spanning 1P (Vendor Central), 3P (Seller Central), and Amazon Business. You will also own our expansion into additional North American marketplaces like ChatGPT, TikTok Shop, etc.

This is an execution-first role with global influence. North America is ViewSonic's reference implementation for eCommerce, and the playbooks you build here with forecasting, promotional planning, digital shelf, Retail Media collaboration, and KPI definitions are published to the VSA Center of Excellence (CoE) and adopted by Western Europe, Asia, and any new international markets. You will also contribute to the quarterly global Amazon review with Amazon. You will not carry regional execution or a regional P&L, your accountability is for North America.

We are looking for an operator who is equally comfortable in a Vendor Central case management queue but more importantly across the table from a Vendor Manager.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Amazon US & Canada Business Ownership

  • Own revenue, profitability, and the operating P&L for Amazon.com and Amazon.ca across 1P (Vendor Central), 3P (Seller Central), and Amazon Business.
  • Own the demand forecast and inventory plan against long manufacturing lead times, partnering with supply chain, demand planning, and product management so the plan is built early enough to be actionable.
  • Drive purchase-order health end to end and own escalation, clear rejected or blocked POs before they become lost quarters, and track recovered revenue as a standing metric.
  • Own the promotional calendar for Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days (PBDD), T5, Deal of the Day (DOTD), coupons, and seasonal events aligning investment, timing, inventory, and margin ahead of each window.
  • Own pricing execution and Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) integrity across 1P, 3P, and authorized reseller partners, including Seller-Fulfilled Prime (SFP) partners buying through two-tier distribution (Ingram Micro, TD SYNNEX, D&H).
  • Run the account-health and financial-hygiene workflow from chargebacks, deductions, PQV tickets, Andon Cords, and PCIs, to a documented recovery target, and eliminate recurring root causes rather than reworking the same tickets each month.
  • Manage catalog and listing health: variation structure, item setup, content compliance, in-stock rate, returns, and defect ratios.

Amazon Relationship & Negotiation

  • Build and maintain a contact map that reaches above the Vendor Manager to Senior Category Managers, Divisional Merchandise Managers (DMM), advertising counterparts, and Amazon Business stakeholders so ViewSonic keeps continuity through the frequent rotation of day-to-day contacts.
  • Lead the Annual Business Review (ABR), terms and co-op discussions, joint business plans, and growth commitments.
  • Secure early access to marketplace focused betas, programs, and category investment that ViewSonic would not otherwise be offered.
  • Travel to Amazon on a standing cadence, with increased frequency through peak planning windows.

Marketplace Expansion

  • Evaluate, negotiate, and launch additional North American marketplaces ranging from Walmart.com, Newegg, eBay, TikTok Shop, and ChatGPT each with a written business case covering economics, fulfillment model, and channel-conflict impact before launch.
  • Manage authorized reseller agreements, credit evaluation, and onboarding in partnership with Sales, Finance, Credit, and Legal.
  • Recommend the right fulfillment mix per channel for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Seller-Fulfilled Prime, and distributor-fulfilled on landed cost and service level.

Digital Shelf, Retail Media & Conversion

  • Partner with eCommerce Marketing counterparts and the agency of record on Full-Funnel Retail Media from Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon Demand-Side Platform (DSP) holding the commercial line on total profit, Total Advertising Cost of Sales (TACoS), and New-To-Brand (NTB) rather than attributed Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) alone.
  • Hold a defensible point of view on Detail-Page Optimization and on where paid traffic should land - the Product Detail Page (PDP) versus the Brand Store and Brand Store Detail Pages (BSDP).
  • Feed availability, margin, and pricing constraints into the media investment cycle so spend is never funded behind inventory we cannot ship.
  • Track and act on the KPI set that governs the account: revenue, POS, conversion, Share of Voice, in-stock, inventory health, advertising efficiency, market share, and Net PPM.

North America Playbook & Global Contribution

  • Document the North America Amazon operating playbook to the Center of Excellence (CoE) standard for best practices across forecasting, promotional planning, content, and KPI definitions so it is transferable to other regions.
  • Contribute to the quarterly global Amazon review alongside Western Europe (VSE) and International (VSI), and support regional teams adopting the playbook with local nuances.
  • Maintain consistent KPI and naming definitions across regions so global reporting reconciles.
  • Serve as ViewSonic's in-house subject-matter expert on Amazon marketplace trends, AI-driven shopping surfaces, and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and translating what is evolving into tests we can fund and measure.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work across Amazon, direct-to-consumer (DTC), and B2B so that growth in one channel does not quietly cannibalize another through pricing, assortment, and promotional decisions are made with all three in view.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and business insight to senior leadership: what happened, why, what we are changing, and what it is worth.
  • Represent ViewSonic at trade shows and partner events, deliver product and channel training, and present to internal and external audiences as needed.

Your Profile

Required

  • Six or more years owning Amazon as a brand, an agency lead, or both with hands-on depth in both Vendor Central (1P) and Seller Central (3P).
  • Demonstrable ownership of an eCommerce P&L or client book at meaningful scale, you have carried a number, not just a dashboard.
  • Forecasting and inventory planning fluency: demand planning, in-stock management, and the operational discipline behind promotional commitments.
  • Direct experience negotiating with Amazon Vendor Managers or Category Managers, including terms, co-op, and joint business planning and evidence of building relationships that survive contact rotation.
  • Command of Amazon financial mechanics: chargebacks, deductions, co-op accruals, allowances, and net margin after all fees and returns.
  • Retail-media measurement fluency TACoS and ACoS versus total profit, NTB, and ROAS versus incrementality sufficient to direct an agency and challenge its reporting.
  • Proficient in AI tools for daily workflow i.e.: CoPilot, Claude, ChatGPT.
  • Strong analytical capability in Excel (modeling, pivots, lookups) and comfort working directly in platform reporting rather than waiting on a dashboard.
  • Specifics over slideware. In interview you should be able to walk through a real account you turned around the numbers, the levers, and what you would do differently.

Preferred

  • Consumer electronics, IT, or computer hardware, and familiarity with two-tier distribution (Ingram Micro, TD SYNNEX, D&H) and the VAR channel.
  • Experience managing a large catalog hundreds to thousands of active SKUs across multiple brands or product lines.
  • Launch experience on additional marketplaces: Walmart.com, Newegg, eBay, TikTok Shop, or Amazon Business.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon DSP, Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), and Brand Stores - the ability to interpret and act, without needing to write SQL.
  • Platform fluency with SKAI, Pacvue, Perpetua, Stackline, or similar, and with market-share tooling.
  • Experience writing SOPs and playbooks that other people used and mentoring or managing junior team members.
  • Interest in agentic commerce, AI-driven discovery, and AEO, with a view on what it means for a monitor and projector brand.
  • Location: Preferred location is Seattle, with flexibility for candidates throughout the West Coast region.

What's in it for you:

  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance options
  • 401k with company match
  • Paid Time Off
  • Company provided equipment
