Overview

As a Product Manager at Turn5, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you'll own core areas of our ecommerce experience - from keeping the product vision aligned to business and customer impact and building the backlog against it, through to seeing individual initiatives across the finish line.

This is a high-impact role where you'll shape how tens of millions of customers interact with our sites. You'll work alongside a PM team, a Product Owner, a Delivery Manager, and technical subject-matter experts who help execute against the plan - plus engineering, UX, Research, IT, and marketing partners who help you think through solutions along the way. You're the throughline who keeps each initiative coherent and moving from the initial idea through to launch. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable partnering with our research team to test and validate ideas, writing a crisp user story, running a discovery session, and rolling up their sleeves to keep a project moving day-to-day.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with user research and key stakeholders to maintain a clear, current view of the product vision, and translate it into a prioritized roadmap for high-value ecommerce capabilities (e.g. search, fitment, PDP, checkout, personalization).
  • Participate in regular discovery sessions with internal teams and customers to surface pain points, unmet needs, and feature opportunities.
  • Own and prioritize the backlog for your product area based on business impact, customer insight, and technical level of effort, partnering with Research and the CMO's team to shape what success looks like for each initiative.
  • Develop clear product requirements, user stories, and success criteria, partnering with UX and marketing to make sure the experience and messaging land the way the vision intends.
  • Dig into the technical details and the organizational ones - aligning with engineering, data, and other teams on what's needed, in what format, and by when - so each initiative has a solution that's not just well-scoped, but actually implementable.
  • Stay engaged with your initiatives from definition through implementation and launch, partnering with your Product Owner, Delivery Manager, and technical SMEs to keep solutions well-scoped and on track - you're the throughline who keeps the right people aligned, dependencies sequenced, and the path clear for execution to keep moving.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of your projects: track progress, unblock issues, adjust scope or approach as needed, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to define MVPs and iterate toward scalable solutions.
  • Partner with the research team to analyze opportunities, design experiments, and interpret results - using what we learn to validate ideas before investing in them, measure impact after launch, and iterate as needed to ensure success.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation and public speaking ability - you'll need to communicate clearly with team members, other departments, upper management, and customers.
  • 5+ years of experience owning a product backlog and managing the projects that come out of it end-to-end, ideally in a DTC ecommerce environment
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and launching high-impact web features, including hands-on project management of the work through delivery
  • Track record of partnering with engineers to scope technically feasible solutions, even without an engineering background yourself
  • Experience defining what success looks like for an initiative and using results - data, VOC - to iterate after launch.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Preferred: Experience with automotive aftermarket, fitment-based ecommerce, or personalization platforms
