Job Description
As a Functional Specialist / Advisor (Architecture Support Engineer), you will support the Architecture Division within the Enterprise Engineering Office by helping consolidate architecture artifacts and information across NGA systems. Your work will help improve discoverability of architecture data and enable mission stakeholders across NGA and the Intelligence Community to access accurate and up-to-date architecture information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support efforts to consolidate architecture artifacts and information into a centralized architecture repository on JWICS
• Collaborate with NGA and Intelligence Community stakeholders to identify missions, architectures, interfaces, and data flows
• Provide technical support to the Architecture and Engineering Group for architecture-related coordination and information management activities
• Monitor and track tasks within NGA's Central Electronic Routing & Tasking System (N-CERTS) and maintain active tasking logs
• Coordinate with TAED teams to ensure N-CERTS responses are completed and submitted within required timelines
• Collect, review, and consolidate Weekly Activity Reports (WARs) to provide visibility into team progress and activities
• Ensure WAR submissions follow required formats and prepare consolidated reports for management review
• Compile Monthly Activity Reports (MARs) summarizing accomplishments, issues, and upcoming activities
• Support records management responsibilities by maintaining office inventories of administrative and mission records
• Ensure approved Office File Plans and filing systems are implemented for proper records retention and management
• Provide guidance to personnel on records management procedures and validate that records are filed appropriately
Required Skills
• Experience supporting technical, architecture, or engineering teams within a structured enterprise environment
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and track tasking or reporting requirements
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting
• Ability to work onsite in Springfield, VA
Desired Skills
• Familiarity with NGA architecture organizations or Intelligence Community architecture processes
• Experience supporting task tracking systems such as N-CERTS or similar workflow tools
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture artifacts, interfaces, and data flows
• Experience supporting records management programs or information governance activities
