Position Overview:Finning Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician/HET to join our Power & Energy service team, supporting Caterpillar (CAT) generator systems across a variety of customer sites and industries. This role is primarily responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting/repairs of CAT generator sets, battery energy storage systems, electrical distribution/control systems, and compressed air products.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in a field based environment while representing Finning and Caterpillar to the highest standard.

•Wage $55.84 ($50.25/hr during probation)
•$2.55 field premium when working at a remote minesite, $3.55 field premium when dispatched out of a local branch
•Dual ticket premium $3.25/hour
• Shift: 7x7 or 14x14 Continuous shift. All hours worked on Sundays paid at double-time
•Up to $1,000 travel assist per 28 day rotation

Job Description:Major Job Functions:
- Install, commission, service, and troubleshootCAT generator sets(diesel and natural gas)
- Perform electrical work on:
- Generator controls (EMCP/ECSplatforms)
- Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
- Switchgear and distribution equipment
- Paralleling andloadsharingsystems
- Control Systems
- Read and interpret Electrical schematics and wiring diagramsand single line diagrams
- Functional testing and verification
- Load bank testing
- Perform mechanicalwork on:
- LargeDiesel and Nat. Gas engines
- Air Compressors
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred)
- HET Certification;(Apprentices will be considered) or,Willing to pursueapprenticeship
- Electrical Safety Training 6 Arc Flash and Shock(CSAZ462)
- FSRA or FSRB credential would be considered an asset
- Proven experience working ongeneratorsor power systems
- Experience with:
- Generator installation and commissioning
- Natural Gas & DieselEngine systems
- ATS and emergency power systems
- Electrical troubleshooting in industrial environments
- Power Generation experience would be considered an asset
- Generator Rebuild experience would be considered an asset
- Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be considered an asset
- Team player capable of working with minimal supervision, in challenging conditions
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Validclass 5drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract
